Once you have chosen a home to rent, each prospective tenant who is over the age of 18 must fill out an application. We require a minimum of one guarantor on the lease for each student applicant; each guarantor must fill out a Guarantee Form and have it notarized. The application form is available for you to print or fill out online. You can bring it to the office in person or email it to us.
If you know you’ve found the perfect rental and have just turned in your application, you can place a hold on the house to ensure that it is yours once the application has been processed. We require a holding deposit, which varies depending on the rental property.
If you do not sign a lease and complete all of the relevant paperwork within seven days of submitting your application and holding deposit, you may forfeit your deposit. This is because we lose the potential to rent the house to other qualified prospects by removing that property from the market once you have declared your intention to rent it.
If you do submit and sign all of the necessary paperwork within seven days, the holding deposit will be credited toward your total security deposit.
